What Does Your Wardrobe Say About You?

So far we have looked at specific colors to manifest goals, dreams and intentions. If you have experimented with some of the colors discussed in previous posts and have yet to see results, don't feel disenchanted with your efforts. An underlying reason is most likely the culprit thwarting your intentions. Take a look at your wardrobe's overall appearance, assessing and determining exactly what your wardrobe is saying about you. If your overall goal this year is to create a new path or vision for your life or career, this step is crucial prior to selecting the right color to propel your energy in your chosen direction...
Ask yourself a few questions:

A=Do garments in my closet look worn, soiled or stretched out?
B=Are buttons, zippers or snaps loose or missing?
C=Do trims dangle off loose threads, like sequins or beads?
D=Are embroidery threads and seams open or torn?
E=How do the garments fit? Do they appear sleek, tight, flatter my figure or hang loosely around the wrong areas?
F=Do I wear the same ensemble combinations over and over again for meetings, work or interviews?
G=Are collars and cuffs crisp or wrinkled?
H=Are my garments falling off hangers or squeezed into the closet making it challenging to find the right items?

Think what type of message your wardrobe is sending out before you step out into the world for the day. This also includes those fashionistas starting home businesses. Even if most of your day revolves around your laptop, this does not warrant the excuse of not getting ready each morning to greet the day. You receive in life what you expect. So, if you are wearing a frumpy and worn sweatshirt and legging ensemble all day, are you saying to the universe that you are NOT expecting new clients or business opportunities today? If your phone rang while reading this post and it so happened to be a VIP client, such as Donald Trump calling you for an impromptu meeting via Skype, are you prepared to say "Yes, I am ready right now to attend the meeting."

Create a success checklist prior to putting on the specific color chosen for your intention. For instance, is your briefcase packed, suit pressed, nails done, hair color and make-up perfect and ready to go? How you take care of yourself daily and how you carry yourself throughout the day sends a direct signal to the universe. Your wardrobe's appearance speaks volumes of what is going on within you. This does not mean you have to feel as if you need to throw everything out and start from scratch. Keep what you have in tip-top shape with feelings of gratitude and an open heart. The universe may very well hand deliver a brand new wardrobe along with the dream career and life path.

As the first month of the year comes to a close, take advantage of the time to carve out exactly what you want and deserve for 2012.

And for those fashionistas that enjoyed the Chinese Lunar New Year festivities on Sunday, January 29, 2012, hope you wore your brightest red or gold attire to welcome the luckiest phase of the lunar calendar!
