"In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself."
Jiddu Krishnamurti
I was listening to Pastor Joel Osteen last night and he was
talking about keeping quiet when you don't have anything positive to say. At
first I assumed he was talking about using restraint to not say anything
negative to a friend or relative that may cause them discomfort, especially
when they are attempting something new in their lives. But as he continued, I
soon realized he wasn't talking about someone else. He was talking about the
negative words we say to ourselves, especially out loud. He went on to explain
that once you verbalize the negative thought, you send a vibration out into the
universe that sets in motion what you have just spoken. I guess you can say we
are the transmitters of our self-talk.
This got me thinking about color energy and the subconscious. Even
when we pick a specific color to attract what we desire in our lives, our words
have to constantly match up with what we want to bring forth. This includes our
words. If one minute you speak positively over a specific circumstance and then
you follow it up with negative thoughts spoken out loud over a meeting that did
not go your way, we have just cancelled out the earlier thought, delaying the
good that wants to get to you.
It may sound crazy, but the words we choose to mumble to
ourselves, utter when we think no one is listening or articulate accusations to
our inner spirit in moments of frustration are directly coming from
what is buried and believed by our subconscious.
So what is rewiring. In essence, it is the replanting of new thoughts, emotions and beliefs of what you deserve to experience in this life. I will admit that rewiring your
subconscious mind is one of the most challenging things you can possibly do.
However, it is the most important thing that needs to get done if you want to
create significant change for the direction of your life or business.
If you study a successful person in your field and you catch
yourself expressing that you wished you were like them in some way, perhaps the
statement needs to be rephrased with the wish that your subconscious was wired
in a similar way. Hill discusses the importance of self-analysis. He had discovered flaws within his character and he selected specific successful people that emulated the trait that he wanted to instill within his character. Highly successful people are focused individuals with a
specific goal in mind. They do not allow themselves to stop until the objective
is achieved. In a nutshell, that means that their subconscious minds are wired
with thoughts of accomplishment coupled with specific images that send out the
vibration needed to achieve, regardless of the objective. Its very tempting to
fall into the comparison trap, especially when making comparisons often
produces feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. These feelings run along side feelings
of envy for wanting what someone else has all the while forgetting that this
person most likely worked very hard to achieve their success. Looking at
someone who has accomplished success is watching the end result of their work and their dedication to succeed.
Rewiring takes faith. According to Napoleon Hill's book
"Think and Grow Rich," faith is a state of mind. The whole quote is
as follows.
"Faith is a state of
mind that may be induced, or
created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind,
through the principle of autosuggestion. If you have a negative belief, thought
or word that is picked up by your subconscious mind, it is translated into its
physical equivalent."
Since you control your thoughts, you choose whether to rewire your
subconscious with a positive or negative thought environment. In order to start
the rewiring process, you have got to wipe your subconscious plate clean.
Reread Hill's statement. If your subconscious picks up the negative thought or
word, it translates it into reality.
So, I am proposing to anyone that is truly ready to get
things started to join the 30-day Subconscious
Rewire Challenge.
No, this is not a quick-fix 30-day gimmick.
This is a pact and commitment you make with yourself that only you can enforce.
You will be working on your own honor system. So remember, if you honor and
respect yourself, and believe that you deserve better than what you have been
getting from life, than you have to honor and respect your commitment to this
challenge. You will cleanse the present negativity and rewire your subconscious
mind with the goodness you believe you can achieve and deserve.
Before you pick the day you want to start the challenge, have a
long conversation with your inner spirit. In this conversation you have to
determine if you are truly ready to put the work that is necessary to change
the way things are going for you or your business right now. Your intention is
what is going to get this whole process in motion. Ask yourself how deep is
your desire to create this shift in your present reality. Your deep desire is
the engine that makes the shift happen. Without this deep hunger for it, your
motivation vanishes. Without faith, your passion disappears. Without belief in
yourself, your initiative diminishes. Without a clear vision, your hope
evaporates. Without a clear subconscious mind, change in the desired direction
does not materialize.
Once you decide that you want to take part in this challenge, you
need to add another ingredient. Faith. Its your complete and total confidence
in your ability to accomplish your desire as suggested by Napoleon Hill.
The 30-Day Subconscious
Rewire
1=Choose the start date.
Draft a commitment letter to yourself with your promise to see
this through for the 30 days. Commit to not allowing yourself to waver even
when you do not see evidence of a shift. Belief that your rewiring is cleansing
out the bad for the good while trusting the Universe to do its part to shift
things on your behalf. Relinquish your mental control over a long-standing
issue or problem and turn over your complete faith that at the appointed time,
you will receive an idea, a flash of insight, a hunch or experience prompting
you to act. Hill refers to this area of your thinking process as Infinite
Intelligence.
2=Open your closet and select white comfortable
clothing.
(clean tee and yoga pants). Although white is associated with
purity, it also represents new beginnings. If you have yet to start meditating
because your mind is unable to quiet down, the objective is to sit for a few
minutes with the intention and faith that this process will provide you with an
inner cleansing.
3=Launder the white clothing,
even if they are clean. This is your sign to the universe that you
are preparing for this shift.
4=Purify any crystals.
Place your stones or crystal in sea salt overnight to re-purify for your challenge.
5=Clear out the space where you will be meeting
with yourself
for a few minutes everyday. Designate this spot as the area for
your subconscious rewiring as you experience your inner cleansing.
6=Create a "Subconscious Rewire"
notebook.
Whether you buy a new notepad or pick a favorite one you have at
home, this notebook is specifically meant for your rewiring process. As you
begin the mental cleansing, thoughts are going to come up. However, this time
you are not going to push them away or attempt to bury them. You are going to
pay attention to them and jot them down in the notebook. These thoughts are
your clue to what is buried deep within your subconscious. Here is a suggestion
on how to use the notebook.
a=Write a heading labeled as "Negative Thought Process"
and highlight it in your notebook. Remember, this is a 30 day challenge, so
during your preparation, you can also get the notebook ready by writing
headings for 30 pages. If you feel that you will be writing a great deal,
separate a few pages for each day. If you do not enjoy writing, draw columns to
jot down your response. This is the area where you are going to write down the negative
thoughts that come up during your cleansing time. You will be able to read the
evidence of what you have been feeding your subconscious mind and at the same
time it will reveal to you why your circumstances have not changed.
b=Write a heading labeled as "Subconscious Rewire" and
highlight it. Again, its 30 days so you may want to prepare these pages as
well. Once you read over the negative thoughts that came up, use these pages to
write down the new thought that is going to replace the negative thought and
feeling. Include 3 reasons why the negative thought you have been harboring and
entertaining is not true of who you are. Remember, your subconscious is the
recording device that produces what you instruct.
c=Write down the date for each of the 30 pages.
Preparing your "Subconscious Rewire" notebook removes
any stress associated with the mental lists of "things to do."
As you embark on your 30-day rewiring process, I wish you the
best. This is your commitment to yourself to till the soil of your subconscious
while planting the seeds that will generate the necessary shift in your spirit
and your circumstances. Hill suggests this as "planting" new
thoughts, which are accompanied with feelings. Hill refers to emotions as
the "feeling" portion of your thoughts, and that these emotions are
the factors that give thoughts vitality, life and action. In some way, this is
what Pastor Osteen was discussing. If thoughts give the needed life and action,
your words then solidify either a positive or negative result. Your choice.
Continue this process with the intention, deep belief and faith that something will shift in your circumstances during
the 30 days.
Remain vigilant during the process. You do not
know what will appear or the form it will take or how circumstances will
shift. The process will ultimately produce a visible opening, inclination
or ideas for your desired circumstance within the 30 days. Accept whatever
opening or experience occurs as a sign of the harvest you will be reaping as
you see your dreams unfold into reality.
As always, create a prosperous week the shift in your subconscious mind that
will generate the prosperity you deserve.
